How exciting to have Gary Rhodes, as our guest at La Torretta for the filming of the new television series Rhodes across Italy, which will be broadcast on the Good Food Channel in January 2010. The series will portray Gary Rhodes the celebrity British chef, as he journeys through ten of the Italian Regions, with two young sous chefs, on a culinary adventure to discover the delicacies of each region.

Casperia was chosen as a second stop after Rome for the Lazio Region, and Gary loved the quality of the Sabina olive oil, and had great fun making the local pasta Stringozzi, here at La Torretta bed and breakfast.

Wow! We are used to having beginners here, learning how to make pasta, on our weekend cooking breaks, not the famous Gary Rhodes. However the stringozzi is not easy, it is hand rolled, thrown up into the air, and has to remain in one piece. Watch it on TV.
